For over ten years we have been in close contact with a couple who lives in very basic conditions in the slums of «Sangamvihar» in Delhi. They focus their help primarily on the children and offer weekly children's activities for up to 300 children. In cooperation with local authorities Jessy, the wife of the couple, helps the slum dwellers to obtain valid identity cards, which they need to get legal employment. Jessy also visits the Dalits – the caste of the Untouchables – and provides practical help and advice in hygiene for the women. Salem Ministries started supporting the couple a year ago, in 2013.
